Italian Paisley

A girly version of the TRUCK STOP TOP.

 

It's made from a combination of woven fabrics cut on the bias; an Italian printed cotton and a Liberty print floral both found at Tessuti in Melbourne.

 

 

 Around the armholes and neck, a bias cut double layered binding with raw edges.  It's top stitched with heavy thread and and then frayed using a nail brush and a good wash.

 

 

The TRUCK STOP TOP pattern was developed for jersey fabrics so I cut the body on the bias one size bigger than I normally wear.  The fit is loose and relaxed especially around the armholes; perfect for summer!
